Working with our Partners

Open Hands is grateful to be working with so many other great organizations to achieve more than we could alone.

Open Hands has worked closely with the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley for many years. Open Hands is a Food Pantry associated with the RGV Food Bank. With the support of the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, Open Hands is able to provide food to our clients and those in our community.

Open Hands is located inside of Donna Memorial Center, at 301 s 17th st. Donna, Tx. The city of Donna has leased Open Hands space to operate Open Hands inside of the Donna Memorial Center since 1999. In addition, Open Hands has also partnered with Donna ISD with other programs such as our summer meal program.

Open Hands was founded and birthed out of Hi-Way Chapel Church, now called Hope Community Church. Open Hands and Hope Community Church have continued to work together over the years to impact the community. Hope Community Church has given time, volunteers, donations and many other resources that have been invaluable to Open Hands, especially when Open Hands was first started.

Open Hands is excited for our recent partnership with KNAPP Community Care Foundation. In this partnership Open Hands hopes to be able to do even more to help those in our community.
